From childhood fascination to marble mastery

Antonio Pastore, Susan Moser and Sergio Matteoli at Fauske Quarry

Falling in Love

Born into the natural stone industry, Susan Moser, Fauske Marble’s CEO, used to play as a child in the family factory, Den Ankerske Marmorforretning in the Freeport of Copenhagen. Susan was soon captivated by the craftsmanship and beauty of the material, and it was here she discovered and fell in love with Norwegian Rose. Little did she know that many years later, in 2023, she would take over the running of the quarry where this prized material is found.

Building a reputation

Starting as an apprentice in the family business, Susan now has over 35 years natural stone experience. Before starting her own business in 1997, she held executive positions in Italy, Denmark and later in the United Kingdom. With a reputation for professionalism and customer satisfaction, Susan has worked on projects around Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America.

Prestigious projects

Example projects in her native Denmark include the National Bank of Denmark, Copenhagen Opera, and Royal Palace in Copenhagen. Overseas examples include advising Cebra Architects Abu Dhabi on a government project, Saudi Bin Laden Group, Riyadh for King Abdullahs Financial District, and Related Ltd New York on Hudson Yard.

Driving Force

Susan has an academic background to match her industry knowledge, with a master of business administration, bachelor of commerce, and education in executive management. Today she is the driving force behind an exciting new chapter in the history of Fauske marble.
